Hey everyone! Summer is finally here and with the new hot weather, it is time to make a new routine to become more productive. Unlike many summers before, I have wasted the summer away by waking up way too late, staying up until midnight, and spending the day watching T.V. and laying in bed. So, get ready to enjoy the sun, the beach, and all the fun activities summer offers while looking and feeling confident in your skin. Let’s dive into my realistic summer routine and make this summer one to remember! NONE OF THESE PRODUCTS OR WEBSITES ARE SPONSORED.

Wake up early

 I wake up around 8 to 8:30 every morning. You don’t have to wake up at 8 because not everyone can get up at 8. Also getting up at this time has fixed my sleep schedule and also I get so much stuff done. Another thing that has helped me wake up is the website Sleepytime which is a website that calculates your sleep based on your sleep cycles. This website makes sure you are getting enough sleep for your body so that you wake up on time with enough energy. Also, make sure to fix your bed before you do anything else.  Getting 8 hours of sleep every night can be good for you physical and mental health.

  • Increased concentration and focus 
  • Lowers your risk for diabetes and heart diseases 

 

Go to the bathroom/brush your teeth
The first thing that I do is go to the bathroom and brush my teeth because the gunk on my teeth after I wake up grosses me out and having stinky breath is no fun. My favorite toothpaste is Crest toothpaste because I feel that it reals my teeth feel very clean but I want to try the Hismile toothpaste because I have heard excellent things about it. I also really love Therabreathe mouth wash it works so well and leaves my breath smelling so good and fresh. 
Skincare 
 While I’m still in the bathroom I do my skincare. My favorite skincare brands are Glow Recipe, Hero, La Roche-Posay, The Ordinary, and the Inkey list. To start my skincare I double cleanse my face I love doing this because it makes my face feel extra clean and makes sure that all the makeup is off of your face. First I cleanse with The Ordinary Squalane cleanser and then for the second time with the Hydrating gentle cleanser from La Roche-Posay. Then I put the Glow recipe niacinamide dew drops all over my face which makes my blemishes fade away leaving my skin looking like glass. Next, I do my treatments first I use La Roche-Posay Adapelene acne treatment this shrinks my pimples and leaves my pores looking invisible. Then I use the Inkey list caffeine eye cream I feel so awake and my dark under eyes become not as visible.  Finally, I moisturize, I don’t have a specific moisturizer but I like the Proactive green tea moisturizer which smells good, the double repair face moisturizer with SPF 30 by La Roche-Posay, and The Ordinary natural moisturizing factors + HA moisturizer. And at the very end I put on lip balm. I really like the Laneige glow lip balm because it tastes good, lasts a long time, and looks like a lip gloss. 
 
Drink water or tea 
Next, I like to get a cold glass of water. Drinking a cold glass of water is so refreshing after going hours without it. Sometimes to wake myself up a little bit more I drink cold tea. Which is so good in the morning and when I have a sore throat this feels so nice and refreshing. 
 
 
 
Workout/exercise 
Then I go to the gym or do an at-home workout. My favorite workouts are Chloe Tings 2 week shred challenge, Lilly Sabri’s workouts especially legs and abs, and most pilates exercises. Normally I do a 45-minute to an-hour session. Sports are another way to exercise my favorite summer sports are Volleyball, Tennis, and swimming.
 
Shower 
After sweating at the gym the best feeling is washing the sweat and grossness off of my body. I like to double wash my body first with an unscented body wash and for the second time with the Coco Vanilla exfoliating body wash from PINK. Most of the time I wash my hair unless if I washed it the day before but I don’t have a favorite shampoo and conditioner so I normally use whatever I can find from Target or Costco. Although I would like to try the Native Shampoo and Conditioner or Gisou Shampoo and Conditioner. 
 
Wellness shot
After I workout and shower, I like to take a wellness shot. I really like the pineapple one from Trader joes but if you don’t live next to one or have one near you, you can find them at most stores or you can find recipes online to make them at home.  
 
Breakfast 
After being awake for around 2 hours I am normally starving so I make myself some breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I normally make a four-course meal because I can never pick just one thing to eat so I make everything that sounds good. But normally I make pesto eggs on ciabatta bread with tomatoes, avocado, and balsamic vinegar glaze or oatmeal with strawberries, granola, chocolate chips or mini peanut butter cups, and almond butter.
Get ready for the day 
So after I workout and eat some breakfast, I get ready to start the rest of my day. First I pick something to wear. Since it’s summer most of the time I pick a pair of shorts and a tee shirt. My favorite in-person clothing stores to buy clothes from is Pacsun, Aeropostale, Hollister, Old Navy, and Forever 21. My favorite online stores are Princess Polly, White Fox, Boohoo, and Gymshark. Since I already washed my face and moisturized I go straight to putting on makeup. For my base, I mix a light shade of the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter and a darker tan shade of the E.l.f halo glow. This base is so glowy and looks good. Then I use the pixi on-the-glow blush in shade Fleur. Then I use the Charlotte Tilbury flawless powder. Then I do mascara and I use the Essence Lash Princess waterproof false lash effect mascara. When I’m finished with my makeup I start my hair, I usually straighten or curl my hair with a straightening iron.
